I am currently enrolled at Conestoga College to become an Executive Office Administrator. So I am preparing to dress business casual for the office environment. This is my favourite business casual look.
This is my favourite outfit because the blouse has a nice pattern that matches well with anything else I want to pair it with. I have worn this top for many different occasions and it works well! The skirt is a stretchy material that fits really nicely! Finally, the heels were a really nice buy. They are short heels so they aren’t too uncomfortable to wear around the office all day. But, my favourite part about them is the mesh that goes along the toes and up the side of my feet, it gives the otherwise plain suede shoes an extra touch.
In a professional office environment it is not acceptable to wear jeans. (Unless they have a dress down day) So, to create the perfect office look you must dress up. For cooler days I wear dress pants and a blazer with closed toed heels. You can wear regular dress pants that flare out at the bottom or to switch it up, you can find dress pants that fit tight all the way down your leg like leggings. For a warmer day I wear a dress, skirt, or capris.
Use common sense with what is a appropriate to wear to the office. Make sure the skirt is an appropriate length, to test it I would suggest putting your arms down and the skirt should be below your fingertips. It’s always good to test the length of your shirt as well. You can do this by putting your arms straight up and if the shirt shows your stomach, you’re probably going to want to change it!
