This past month I discovered a few new things from the drugstore and moved a few old things from my collection, that I use every day, into my favourites.
Nivea, Men’s Sensitive Skin After Shave Balm
I did a review for this product earlier this month about how much I love it. Here’s the link to my previous review: Product Review: Nivea, Men’s Sensitive Skin After Shave Balm
Physician’s Formula, Butter Bronzer in Bronzer
I also did a review for this product previously, here is the link to my previous review: Product Review: Physician’s Formula, Butter Bronzer
NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Mont Blanc
I have tried multiple foundations but found that they all looked cakey on my skin and were too dry. I finally found the NARS Sheer Glow foundation, the colour matches me perfectly, it has light enough coverage that I can still see my freckles and it looks like my skin but better. This product has a light to medium coverage with is enough to cover up my blemishes without being too thick. My favourite way to apply this foundation is with a damp beauty blender. The packaging is nice but I wish it had a pump. This foundation only creases in my smile lines a bit throughout the day but is easy to touch up. I would not recommend this product for someone with oily skin because it is very light and hydrating but seems to separate a tiny bit on my nose if I sweat during the day. I found this product transferred off my face a bit if I sweat at all during the day or leaned my hands on my face but when I pair it with the Nivea, Men’s Sensitive Skin After Shave Balm they are a match made in heaven and the small creasing and transferring barely happens at all now.
Sephora Collection, Colorful Gloss Balm in 01 Earth Angel
I purchased this product because the colour is a dupe for the NARS Chelsea Girls lipgloss, that I have been eyeing for months, but couldn’t bring myself to pay $32 for a gloss. I love the colour and the formulation of this gloss, it’s not sticky or tacky on the lips and it does hydrate my lips. The only downside of the gloss is the applicator, I wish it had a doe-foot applicator rather than a rubber tip.
Benefit, Gimme Brow in Medium/Deep
I love this product over any brow product to set the hairs in place or by itself on a minimal makeup day just to darken my brows and make them appear a bit thicker. I started using this product about a year ago before I got into filling in my brows, to ease myself into the eyebrow game. This product looks natural and is great on its own or can be paired with another brow product and layered over top to keep the hairs in place or make them a bit thicker and darker. I love the size of the brush, it allows me to coat my brow hairs without getting the gel all over my skin above and below the brows. The only con to the Gimme Brow is the little amount of product you get and how much it costs.
