How I Improved My Makeup Game

May 17, 2016

Hi Everyone!

ONRH1431I’ve come a long way in my makeup game and the thing that really helped me improve was watching YouTube makeup videos and tutorials. YouTube has become a huge obsession for me. I watch YouTube videos every single day to see new makeup techniques, new products and get inspiration for makeup looks.  Although YouTube videos have been helpful to me they have also been a bit of a problem because when I see beauty gurus raving about new products I feel like I have to have it and I have spent a ridiculous amount of money on makeup in the past year, but I think that has something to do with my shopping problem ;). The best beauty gurus create informative content that helps their viewers improve their skills and learn new techniques. I’ve created a list of my top 10 favourite beauty gurus that create great content on a regular basis that you should all take a look at if you’ve been wanting to improve your makeup skills.

3. Casey Holmes

Casey Holmes does a lot of product reviews which I find super helpful. I love to see reviews of products before I purchase them because I want to know that my hard earned money is going to be wasted on a crap product.

RachhLoves is another Canadian YouTuber, she’s a young mom with an adorable family and two super cute little kids. My favourite videos from RachhLoves are her DIY’s and Pinterest hack tests, they are really helpful and relevant and they usually involve some sort of organizational thing and I love to organize.

9. Shaanxo

Shaanxo is a YouTuber from New Zealand, she puts out a lot of makeup tutorials and lip swatch videos. I love watching lip swatch videos before I purchase a colour so I know exactly what it looks like on before I spend the money on it. There have been a few times where I’ve saved money on a product because it didn’t look the same as I had originally thought.
